| Dawn + Yuk hui |
[Jun. 21st, 2009|05:37 pm] |
Dawn and Yuk hui are my neighbours =), already I knew they're awesome people!!
Dawn's traditional kua *yes a white kua* was passed down from her grandmother.*how cool is that?*

Yuk hui's a warm and TALL man
I liked the details from her wedding gown, nothing too flashy, gives a quiet elegant feel.
Yup, they're gonna have very tall kids in the future.

Classic. Don't try this at home. |

| Jocelyn + Clarence become mom and dad |
[Jun. 21st, 2009|05:18 pm] |
A year after Jocelyn and Clarence got married, I got a call from them and they were thinking of doing a casual maternity session. We took some shots at their home, afterwhich we went about their neighbourhood and goofed around alittle.
 Greeeeeeeeeen walls

Its pretty cool photographing couples at their next stage in marriage. Since I've already shot their wedding, the shoot was pretty much comfortable for us.

 she ain't heavy, honest!

Edric + Joanne
Edric's goofy and hilarious, Joanne's sweet and demure. Had a nice session shooting with both of them. It was raining earlier before the shoot but we perservered and waited it out. *good move!*
They were too shy to show their affection infront of strangers, so I got them to hold hands =)
Edric was showing me the many types of martial arts that he's learnt. I'm not messing with this guy.
 seriously??
We're off for a pinic. *true story. Yes, thats a stuffed sheep*, **yummy sandwiches**

I got my free ice cream too =P |

We stopped by the playground down at their future residences. Shooting at void decks can be fun too!

Headed off to the Mint and we all became little kids again.

Joy and Lawrence both "warmed up" as we headed to east coast for our lastleg of the shoot. |

Adelyne and Wei sheong(WS) had a really nice and simple wedding. An enjoyable shoot for me =).
Morning prep while waiting for WS to come by.

When in doubt at the gates, go online! WS was actually googling for lyrics for "Wind beneath my wings". The drinks the guys had to down weren't too great either.
Happenings thru out the day

Solemnization at the hotel room and evening prep.

I like the above shot somehow. Adelyne getting ready to head down to the ballroom.

| Natasha + Eugene's ROM Party |
[Apr. 6th, 2009|03:41 pm] |
Natasha + Eugene's ROM Party Date: 14h of Dec 2008 Venue: Mimolette, Margaritas, Brussel Sprouts Photography: Plush Photography Videography: Substance films Wedding Planner: Wedding Entourage
Natasha and Eugene, 2 of the nicest people you'd ever get to meet. When they told me they're having plans to have their ROM party on board a bus, it got me super excited! I mean, how cool is that? a bunch of close friends, lots of food and a chartered bus to take us all over. Mimolette
Our first stop was at Mimolette, started off as a welcome venue for their friends

 And off we gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
I then realised, shooting on a moving bus wasn't how I expected it to be =). I had to hold onto the railings for support else every shot was going to be like scenes from the blair witch movie.
Our bus driver for the day, enduring all the noise and small cramp corners he had to manuver. When I took this shot, I could see a cloud bubble over his head going "why me?". Sorry uncle, I didn't bring my buspass.

 Next stop, Margaritas at Dempsey
 FREEFLOOOOOWWWWW

Nat and Eugene hired a balloon sculptist. Cool balloon figures for everyone.*bet he can't make a camera =) Off the Brussel Sprouts at Robertson Quay

Kinda reminds me of my primary school excursions More Alcohol Please!

I love this shot of Eugene with his string of gummi candy
Eugene got to eat gummi sweets off his bride, tough work ya Eugene haha =).
 Heading back to the bus

Everyone who wanted to speak and say their thankyous, had to put on the mexican sombereo. I wanted to bring home the loud hailer *evil grin*.

The party ended off at the Golf course cafe close to Mimolette where the WII was brought out for some Tennis fun. This has definately been one of my most unique experiences shooting an engagement party!, Nat and Eugene, I can't wait to cover the big day!! |

 Jen in the clouds

She was kinda bored of me taking just shots of her and the boathouse
So here's a shot of us At cottesloe beach

| Wedding of Shenn + Daniel |
[Mar. 27th, 2009|12:21 am] |
Wedding of Shenn + Daniel Date: 12th and 13th of Dec 2008 Venue: Barker Road Methodist Church, Da Paolo Ristorante Photography: Plush Photography Videography: Substance films Band: Jack and Rai I first got to know Shenn a year back as she was helping her friends, Jenlyn and Ryan plan for their wedding while they were in London. Yes, before I met Jen lyn, Shenn was sent to check out the photographer =). This was how well planned Shenn was for her wedding haha, I received her wedding day schedule a good 10months in advance. I felt very at ease and comfy at Shenn and Daniel's wedding, light was good, fun crowd, bride and groom left eadwine to do his thing. I was a happy photographer =)

Because both Shenn and Daniel were based in London, they only returned back to SG about 2 weeks before their big day. Shenn's home had alot of cool and funny antiques. The wedding dress, the Vera wang, the dress that was totally meant for the bride. Shenn's mom and sis picked it out for her in SG while she was in London and it fitted her perfectly. How cool is that?

 Shenn getting ready
Dan had no idea what he was in for.

Anything for the bride. No issues even to wear bunny ears and humping your groomsmen to burst balloons.

Shenn having her own alone time while waiting patiently for Dan to get passed all the "obstacles"
And he finally reaches and receives his prize!! Barker Road Methodist Church

 Smoochy smoochhhyyy.
Everytime I shoot at Barker Road Methodist, I pray not to have the same Bibleman aka Pastor who doesn't allow photographers to move about infront of the stage. Well, it was the same bibleman.*woop pee doo* So Eadwine had to WORK those creative juices fast to still get the shots. *Cue action hero theme music*
Da PAolo, Day 2 A nice chillout restaurant with a close group of friends to celebrate with. The food was yummy!!

Loving the details around the place
 Right before making their entrance

Marching in!! and the dinner starts!! =) *did i mention the food was good??*
Jack and Rai doing their thing

I had a good time covering their wedding. Both Shenn and Daniel were supercool clients to have, being themselves and enjoying the presence of their close friends and family. |

| Wedding of Lay sie + Wymen |
[Mar. 26th, 2009|11:19 pm] |
Wedding of Lay sie + Wymen Date: 1st of Nov 2008 Venue: Peach Garden restaurant Photography: Plush Photography I met Lay sie and Wymen about 2 months before their wedding. Both designers by occupation and I found out we even have common friends *Singapore is that small*. It was raining heavily in the morning when I arrived but everything was still going as planned, Lay sie was pretty relaxed about it.

Lay sie is an avid err.. toy collector. An entire cupboard dedicated to toys. While getting ready in the morning, her friends were all set and ready for Wymen's arrival to Lay sie's place.
Wymen arrives.....late haha. *good move, good move*
 I see youuuuuuuu! Meeeooowwww

In the midst of all the running about, treasure hunting for scrabble letter pieces, filling up blanks on a list of to do's for the groom and singing the theme to spongebob squarepants, our groom got his bride!

I felt Wymen's dog looked like the prehistoric squirrel from "Ice Age"?? I managed to clock some alone time with the couple right outside Wymen's corridor =), short and sweet. Peach Garden

Everyone was preparing for the dinner, Wymen realised he left his suit at home and someone had to head back to pick it up haha but all is good.
A relative of theirs helped with the table decor, tastefully done.

Everyone seemed to know how many kids they wanted Laysie and Wymen to have =P

An enjoyable wedding for me and I could see how close they were with the bunch of friends who helped the couple throughout the wedding. Thanks guys for letting me be apart of your big day. |

| WedComp: International Wedding Image Competition |
[Mar. 26th, 2009|02:32 am] |
Just a couple of months back, I stumbled upon WedComp A wedding image competition among international wedding photographers, but heres the twist, it was for a charitable cause. A significant portion of the proceeds go to Thirst Relief International
Under the "Getting Ready" category, I came in 9th place with an image I captured from Amanda & Joe's wedding last year. Fellow wedding photographer Darryl(http://we-do.dazza.sg) from Singapore also had one of his images selected in the "Ceremony" category.
Now having your images mentioned at image competitions can be an "ego boost" but I've never really thought of myself as the "image competition" sort/photographer. Still, at the end of the day, all the glory belongs to the BigGuy above! I've been very blessed, the love and encouragements from people around me continues to spur me on to be better at what I do.
Have a great week guys, God bless and good night =). |
